Looking Back, Moving Forward

Welcome to The Quarterly Edge, our quarterly look at what's happening at PayEdge Academy. Each edition will take a look back at where we've been, share what we're working on today, and give you a glimpse of where we're headed next.

What We've Been Up To

A pril 2026 marked an exciting milestone as PayEdge Academy officially launched. What started as an idea to make practical, affordable payroll education more accessible became a reality with our first PayEdge Academy class, Payroll Checklists.

Since then, we've spent our first few months doing exactly what we set out to do learning, connecting, and growing alongside the payroll community. We launched PayEdge Academy online, established our presence on LinkedIn, and began welcoming payroll professionals into our classes and conversations.

But connecting with the payroll community goes beyond the virtual classroom. We've also had the opportunity to get involved locally by volunteering with the Miami Valley Payroll Chapter and participating in the Wage & Hour Seminar in Cincinnati, where PayEdge Academy is based.

These first few months have been about building the foundation for what's ahead. From our very first class to meeting payroll professionals in person, we're excited to see an idea continue to grow into a community.

What We're Working On

Today, PayEdge Academy is focused on continuing to grow, connect, and find new ways to support the payroll community.

We're looking forward to connecting with even more payroll professionals at the Ohio Conference for Payroll Professionals (OCPP) in August 2026. Opportunities like OCPP allow us to take the conversations happening in our virtual classrooms and bring them into the broader payroll community.

We're also preparing to launch our first collection of free payroll resources. Our growing resource library will include practical tools such as payroll checklists, email templates, and quick-reference guides designed to provide support beyond the classroom.

As we continue building our online presence, our focus is also expanding beyond our roots here in Ohio. We want PayEdge Academy to become a place where payroll professionals across the country can learn, connect, share experiences, and grow together regardless of where they are or where they are in their payroll career.

What's Coming Next

As we look ahead, PayEdge Academy is already thinking about what's next — not only expanding our growing library of practical payroll resources, but also preparing for how our education will continue to evolve as we move into 2027.

Our goal remains the same: to provide training that supports payroll professionals at every level of their career. Whether you're learning the fundamentals, expanding your knowledge, maintaining a certification, stepping into leadership, or simply looking for a different perspective on an everyday payroll challenge, we want PayEdge to provide opportunities for you to continue developing.

We're also beginning to build our 2027 class structure and educational topics. In the next edition of The Quarterly Edge, we'll share a first look at what's ahead, including our future class structure and the payroll topics we'll be exploring in the new year.

As PayEdge grows, so will the ways we help payroll professionals learn. We'll continue listening to the payroll community, developing relevant training, and creating resources that turn everyday payroll experiences into opportunities to learn from one another.
